The optimization of a 50-meter drainage channel on Jalan Pangkalan Asem, Cempaka Putih Barat is slated for completion by the end of July. Led by the Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA), the work has been underway since June 15.

Cempaka Putih SDA Unit Head, Sahudi explained that the work involves 15 personnel manually dredging silt and mud that had been clogging the waterway.
"It is a direct follow-up to aspirations voiced by residents during the Community Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang)," he stated, Tuesday (7/21).

"We expect the drainage to function at peak performance during the rainy season," he added.
